Key Responsibilities
- Assist KGSH with the reconciliation of unreconciled indirect tax balances to ensure indirect tax accounting compliance for KGSH client where BSR support is expected.
- Review any underly processes/activities that should be performed to provide good quality of IDT balance sheet reconciliation and how to effectively identify unreconciled balances.
- Document the new process preparation of SOPs.
- Do the review for the IDT balance sheet reconciliation for given/chosen entities.
- Identify any potential gaps in current BSR processes/systems that can be remediated with the support of the tax technology team as needed.
- Help to implement any required changes to BSR process by sharing good practices and experience in this matter.
- Build open items tracker for all open items and keep it maintained/updated to see the progress and issues.
- P2P trackers follow up for tickets raised.
- Blackline issues support and trainings.
- Journal review and payment initiation review.
- Attend regular calls with the client on open items management trackers.
Requirements
- University or college diploma degree in accounting or finance or economics
- 3-5 years of experience in balance sheet reconciliation or taxation or accounting
- Previous experience in improving compliance processes for clients
- University Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance
- Advance knowledge in ERP systems - e.g SAP
- Fluent English (speaking and writing)
- Proficient user of Excel
- Solid VAT knowledge
- Previous experience in managing client relationships on complex accounts is an advantage
