Job Description
- Shift: Rotating
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2640 $2800
Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiographic exams including 2D M-mode Doppler and color flow imaging.
- Analyze images and provide preliminary reports for physician review.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate echocardiography equipment.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations as needed.
- Stay updated on advancements in echocardiography and maintain required certifications.
Educational Requirements:
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography required.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of one year of radiologic/imaging experience.
- Specialized experience and training in Cardiac Sonography.
Certification Requirements:
- Registered or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Current BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Maintains all required state and federal registries and licenses.
Technical & Skills Requirements:
- Proficiency with major medical sonography equipment including manufacturers hardware and software.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Department-specific training required.
- Strong interpersonal organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Does not accept local candidates within 60 miles.
