Overview
An experienced and capable Principal Technical Program Manager is needed to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across product infrastructure enterprise IT and digital domains. This role requires strong communication skills hands-on experience in agile environments and the ability to align multiple technical teams with business goals. A software engineering background is required. Experience with payments or e-commerce systems is a strong advantage.
You ll be responsible for the full program lifecycle setting roadmaps coordinating delivery managing risks and keeping stakeholders informed from kickoff through completion.
Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional technical programs from planning through and delivery.
Ensure alignment with business objectives and define measurable outcomes.
Manage initiatives across areas such as digital supply chain payment systems e-commerce infrastructure and enterprise platforms.
Facilitate agile ceremonies (e.g. backlog grooming sprint planning retrospectives) to support team productivity and alignment.
Act as the primary bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Oversee all program activities including scoping planning tracking risk management and communications.
Identify and manage cross-team risks; develop and drive mitigation strategies.
Provide clear updates and escalate issues to senior leadership including executives.
Promote strong collaboration across Engineering Product Infrastructure IT and Security.
Develop and implement program management best practices to support organizational growth.
Qualifications
8 10 years of experience in a Technical or Engineering Program Management role ideally in a high-growth tech setting.
Strong track record leading complex multi-team programs that deliver measurable impact.
Familiarity with payments e-commerce platforms or large-scale digital initiatives.
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) Agile/Scrum and tools such as Jira Confluence and Google Suite.
Skilled communicator able to convey complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
Comfortable working with globally distributed teams across time zones.
Highly organized detail-oriented and capable of managing shifting priorities.
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field. Master s degree or certifications (PMP CSM SAFe) are a plus.
