Job Description

Job Title: Registered Manager Children s Home (New Opening)
Location: Wolverhampton WV10
Salary: Up to 55000
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 per week (average)

A well-established care provider is seeking an experienced and qualified Registered Manager to lead a brand-new children s residential home in Wolverhampton. This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation committed to delivering high-quality care to young people with learning disabilities and complex needs.


The Role

The successful candidate will oversee the opening and ongoing management of a children s residential home for young people aged 10 17. Responsibilities include ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards driving continuous improvement supporting staff development and providing a safe nurturing environment for children.

You will be instrumental in meeting standards set by Ofsted ensuring Regulation 34 inspections are completed and responding proactively to inspection recommendations. Leadership team-building and safeguarding are central to this role.


Candidate Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

  • At least 2 years of recent experience in a residential childcare setting

  • Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or management position

  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation including The Children Act National Minimum Standards and Children s Homes Regulations

Key Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities

  • Adaptable resilient and child-centred

  • Team-focused confident and organised

  • A full UK driving licence is required
