Job Description

Location: Canberra (Not open to remote options)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid - 40 hours per week
Security clearance: Must have Negative Vetting Level 2


The Defence Cyber Range (DCR) System Engineer role is required to understand all aspects of system such as network infrastructure software product development and manufacturing. This role will be responsible for developing a system that creates a product from beginning to the end.

Systems Engineer will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve very complex systems engineering work within an integrated workforce.

The DCR System Engineer will work with rest of the team to ensure a systems oriented integrated approach is taken with respect to the DCR/SDTE product engineering development and verification activities.

We require a candidate that has skills and experience at the lower levels such as:

  • Demonstrated experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and IT networking technologies.
  • Strong background as a Systems Engineer on medium to large size projects.
  • Experience creating high level/low level designs and reference architecture.
  • Experience with software Engineering.
