Job Description
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Respond to calls requiring a deputy
- Investigate all complaints assigned and take police action as required
- Complete all reports prior to end of work shift
- Respond to in progress recent or prior criminal activity; restore/maintain order gather information and evidence
- Patrol assigned areas pursuit apprehension and arrest according to state and local applicable statutes policies regulations and procedures.
Qualifications :
Interested applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Possess a valid drivers license
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED
Pass a background check
Must have the ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner while multi-tasking
Microsoft Office (Word Excel & Outlook) knowledge preferred
Must be willing to work holidays and rotating shifts; which would include days evenings and nights.
Additional Information :
Applications may be picked up at the Union County Sheriffs Office Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am to 4 pm. If an offer is made and accepted the candiate will have 180 days to relocate to Union County.
