As a Consultant in our Omics team youll contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge tools for genomic and proteomic analysis from novel assays and consumables to integrated benchtop instruments alongside a multidisciplinary team of passionate biologists physicists and engineers.
Youll be involved throughout the project lifecycle: shaping project proposals leading and contributing to technical workstreams and engaging directly with clients. Each project offers the chance to dive into new scientific domains hone your project leadership and client relationship skills and help bring transformative technologies to market.
Our work addresses real-world challenges in precision medicine synthetic biology advanced therapy manufacturing agricultural biotechnology and moreprojects that are scientifically ambitious commercially valuable and socially impactful.

What Were Looking For
Were seeking an intellectually curious commercially aware mechanical engineer who thrives in collaborative entrepreneurial environments.
Ideal candidates will bring:
- Demonstrated mechanical engineering capability through a strong academic background and expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Electromechanical system design and integration
- Fluidics and microfluidics
- Thermal management
- Precision positioning and tolerance analysis
- Specification and design of single-use components
- Proficient use of CAD tools such as SolidWorks and/or OnShape
- Systems-level thinking enabling input to risk management and failure mode analysis
- Professional engineering experience typically developed over 4-10 years in a regulated industry. Familiarity with ISO 13485 or similar quality systems is desirable.
