We have a great opportunity for someone with a genuine desire to make a difference to the lives of Carers to join our team as our next Adult Carers Coordinator.
You will provide support to unpaid Carers through support groups which you will plan and deliver. In these groups you will listen to the views of Carers and deliver a range of activities whilst signposting/making onward referrals to specialist community health and voluntary services.
You will also provide support interventions and where needed refer individuals for a full Carers assessment.
You will help to improve wellbeing reduce social isolation and ensure Carers know their rights.
Qualifications :
An excellent communicator you will be empathetic to Carers needs including health practical and emotional impact.
It would be great if you had experience in delivering support or advice in group sessions and it would be a plus if this was for support adults (although not essential).
You will be able to work independently and as part of a team and you will need to have flexibility with some the groups during the evening.
The successful candidate will also be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
Due to the nature of this role you will need to be able to drive with access to your own vehicle or alternative transport.
