The mission of Family Support Services is to be the leader in providing safety stability and quality of life for all children by working with the community to strengthen the family unit.

Job Summary:
This is a professional case management position responsible for delivering protective related services to children placed via Interstate Compact or Out of County Supervision and provide Case Plan Assistance to Child Welfare involved parents living in Pasco County. The position will also be responsible for the approval process on incoming requests for home study assessments to ensure safety and stability for children who are being considered for placement in Pasco County. Emphasis is placed on child safety partnership collaboration.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of ICPC/OCS Cases of youth and families.
  • Provide recommendations in regards to ICPC/OCS placement requests. Identify strengths limitations risk factors and needs.
  • Coordinate and refer the provision of concrete services to the child and/or primary caregiver in conjunction with the primary case manager.
  • Communicate frequently with primary case management team to include but not limited to: Home visit summaries identified needs and services case plan suggestions updates for court reports.
  • Maintain face-to-face and telephone contact with each of the assigned eligible children/families in the primary residence of the child and/or family school day care preschool or any appropriate setting (one face-to-face must take place in the home every 25 days).
  • Provide on-going support to the primary caregiver(s) to assist the family in providing a safe and secure home environment for the child.
  • Maintain client confidentiality according to established policies federal and state statutes as evidenced by obtaining needed releases of information and maintaining updated releases of information.
  • Assist in ensuring that quality standards are met and reviewed annually follow policy and procedures of administrative codes CBC and agencies abide by the CBC Incident Reporting procedures and Agency Incident Reporting policy and procedure as applicable.
  • Attend and participate in staffing reviews administrative reviews/staffings judicial reviews permanency staffings school staffings CPT staffings meetings etc. on an as needed basis.
  • Complete assigned paperwork in compliance with standards including time sheets mileage logs client records client appointments and management information system.
  • Provide quality services to clients and families as evidenced by assessment of services and the quality improvement system.
  • Intervene and assist Agency/CBC staff in crisis situations as necessary.
  • Participate in on call rotation.

Other Duties:

  • Attend and participate in professional development training for professional growth as developed by the Agency/CBC as required by the state of Florida and in accordance with Agency policy and procedures.
  • Report any acts incidents or conditions that reflect the possibility of inappropriate youth-to-youth or staff-to-youth relationships and any use of physical force and all unusual incidents.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience:One year direct experience in the delivery of services to children and families.

Licensure Certification and/or Registration: Must have Florida child welfare certification. Valid drivers license.

Other Requirements:

  • Clear a Level II background screening.
  • Clear a reference check.
  • Clear a local background check from the County in which you reside.
  • Clear a substance abuse screen.
  • Provide a copy of all degrees prior to your first day of employment.
  • Clear a Motor Vehicles Records check and must be insurable under the companys automobile policy.
  • Provide copy of automobile insurance.
  • Provide proof of and maintain a minimum personal auto liability insurance level $100000/$300000 if deemed to be a driving risk.
