About this unit
From the moment an emergency medical situation occurs we are ready to help with the highest level of childrens medical care possible. Helen Devos Childrens Hospital is a Level I trauma center. While we treat minor illnesses and injuries we are also prepared with a pediatric trauma care team that provides care for severe injuries. Were proud to have the only pediatric emergency department in West Michigan which is designed specifically for children and staffed by experts in pediatric emergency medicine. Recognized as experts in pediatric trauma and burn care with specially trained physicians and nurses available 24 hours a day to care for unexpected or severe injuries.

We have both inpatient and ambulatory spaces as well as a Level 1 trauma Emergency Department designated to children.
Scope of work
Transports all patient populations to and from examinations and treatments. Performs general errands and other routine duties including cleaning equipment securing supplies and other tasks as required. Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care. Adheres to unit procedures wherever transport services rendered
Qualifications
Hight School Diploma or equivalent Required
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
