JOB FUNCTIONS:
The goal for this job is to assist the tech department in providing a high level of customer service and support for end users including teachers staff and students. A tier 1 tech works with the local tech team and offsite support team to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems. Ideal candidates will possess excellent customer service skills and be willing to learn new technologies.

CORE FUNCTIONS:
Provide essential tech support for teachers staff and students in all K-12 schools and district buildings
Support school environment which includes Macs iPads PCs AppleTVs and various classroom technologies
Support a wide variety of software applications and district systems
Assist inexperienced or non-technical end users in resolving issues
Communicate about technical problems to local tech team and offsite techs
Be part of a dynamic team environment
Utilize helpdesk to document troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

Attend to details such as inventory records helpdesk tickets and technical information

Provide timely and accurate communication and quick resolution to issues
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Travel to outlying schools as needed
Provide support after hours / weekends in case of emergency
Perform some physical labor including lifting heavy objects
Clean equipment with various cleaning supplies
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Upper Body Mobility: use hands and fingers to feel grasp and manipulate small objects; manipulate fingers twist and bend at wrist and elbow; extend arms to reach outward and upward; use hands and arms to lift objects; turn raise and lower head.
Lower Body Mobility: bend at waist; stoop; sit for prolonged periods of 1 hour.
Strength: to lift push pull and/or carry objects which weigh as much as 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
Environmental Requirements: encounter constant work interruptions; work cooperatively with others; work independently; work indoors.
