Job Purpose:
To effectively communication news to a global automotive media audience
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Product/ Automotive media strategy development and delivery with both a Global and UK focus.
Be the lead in establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with editors and key news teams of international national and regional automotive media in order to maximise global coverage as well as supporting regional communications teams.
Direct relationship with the regional teams to communicate global media strategy and activation plans
Work directly with the wider Marcoms team to ensure effect communication across all channels including Dealer Network Social Media Internal etc
Effectively communicate all product news to a global media audience: Creation production and distribution of product-related press material (press releases Q&As product briefings speeches key messages) and internal briefings
Form an educated view on both internal (i.e. product changes) and external (i.e. legislation) product issues that will impact on the Aston Martin business - proactively identify issues and support the preparation of necessary materials to brief media and internal stakeholders
Concept creation planning & delivery of both global and UK regional media launches
Agency and budget management for global and UK events
Identify Lifestyle activities and Partnership opportunities at global/ regional launches and work with the Lifestyle Press Officer to implement these effectively in order to enhance the brand
Host global media guests at global/ regional launches lead messaging & support media interview/ content requests as required
Support and host regional launches in region as HQ representative where required
Support/ shadow as media support with senior executives on location as required
Utilise F1/ motorsport to enhance the brand working with the F1 PR team and appointed Motorsport PR agency. Identify where racing / technology can enhance road car messaging
Shared ownership of UK press fleet; manage and coordinate placement of fleet with appropriate target automotive media/ influencers and monitor fleet usage; identify objective results and orchestrate feedback loop
Responsible for new press car specifications and ordering of replacement vehicles to ensure the press office has a robust working fleet at all times
Responsible for coordination//development/ deployment of product communications plans on a regional basis work with regional PRs to ensure global consistency of message. Support regional activations when required
Execute an active awards campaign ensuring Aston Martin products achieve Car of The Year accolades across key Automotive titles
Assist in development of media relations in new and developing markets; identify appropriate media grow brand awareness and develop relationships
Provide summaries of media coverage for variety of internal (i.e. Board level) and external (i.e. dealership representatives) audiences as required
