Are you looking for an opportunity to apply your engineering skills in a fast-growing company that values innovation and teamwork ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking an Engineer or Project Engineer to contribute to electric distribution system design projects that power communities.
This role is perfect for a motivated early career engineer eager to gain hands-on experience collaborate with industry experts and grow within a company that prioritizes professional development.
In this role your key contributions will include:
- Electric Distribution System Design: Work on designs for electrical distribution improving the reliability of the grid.
- Innovative Problem Solving: Proposing solutions to improve reliability and cost effectiveness for given projects. Collaborate with engineering to improve local distribution grid.
- Collaboration: Partner with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages gaining hands-on experience with CAD and engineering analysis tools.
- Project Execution: Assist in ensuring projects meet technical specifications scope cost schedule and quality expectations.
- Industry Standards & Compliance: Apply knowledge of Rural Utilities Service (RUS) standards National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and utility-specific guidelines to create compliant designs.
- Leadership & Growth: Lead complex distribution projects and assist other designers with projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of CAD or MicroStation Hands-on experience with design software
- Experience in Electric Distribution Experience working directly with a utility or engineering firm on projects related to one or more of the following:
- Utility distribution network design and power system layouts
- Complex utility distribution systems including underground and overhead layouts
- Pole line design transformer sizing and service planning for residential and commercial developments
- Exposure to utility design standards permitting and construction coordination
- Prior utility distribution telecommunications design or construction experience
- Field Experience Not required but beneficial in understanding real-world distribution challenges

The base salary for this position ranges from $64000 to $75000 annually. The specific amount within this range will be influenced by the work location and various factors such as internal equity professional skills work experience and pertinent education or training.
Benefits offered include company sponsored medical dental vision and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement voluntary life disability critical illness accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.
May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
