Job Description
We the Line Operations department at LCRA are looking for a High Line worker to join one of our teams! This position is based out of our Eastern Maintenance Facility in LaGrange TX. This role is open to all candidates from apprentice lineman through journeyman and individuals will be selected for a grade commensurate with their experience. In this role you would help us in our mission to improve the lives of Central Texas. You will be trusted to:
- Assist more experienced employees in performing work on transmission power lines rights of way transmission steel structure foundation installations and with site preparation.
- Assist in operation and maintenance of equipment such as bucket trucks boom trucks winch trucks etc. used in performing aerial work.
- Prepare and transport equipment and material for daily projects.
- Respond to emergency and other call-out situations as required.
- Learn to perform aerial work. Climb wood and steel transmission structures to extreme heights using proper safety equipment.
- Learn and follow all safety environmental and departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform work by traveling with a small crew to various locations (substations power plants transmission lines etc.) as scheduled.
You qualify with:
- Zero or more years of experience in transmission and/or distribution line construction and/or maintenance work or related field involving work at heights or relevant experience.
- Valid drivers license
You are a great fit with:
