Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists in the development and execution of civic innovation initiatives with City community and research partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This list represents the types of duties required by the position. Other duties may be assigned as reasonably expected.
Assist with smart city project scoping and development including best practice research and use case analysis.
Support the design and administration of local digital equity initiatives in collaboration with community partners and the Citys Technology Equity Manager.
Engage with community members to gather resident feedback on City policies and programming.
Analyze civic data including demographic data and environmental data to inform City programs.
Assist in the configuration and maintenance of smart city sensors.
Serve as backup to other I&T staff members.
NON-ESSENTIAL/MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as apparent or as assigned.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma
Enrolled in a degree-seeking program preferably in the areas of social science engineering or other relevant field of study
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to travel to multiple sites as required.
Self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
Adaptable curious and team-oriented.
CERTIFICATES LICENSE REGISTRATION:
Valid Drivers license required.

Work is performed in office settings with moderate inside temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in the office. Entire office is smoke free.
