  • Plus retention payment of up to 4000 per year pro rata

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people to thrive in safe nurturing environments Suffolk County Council is offering an exciting opportunity to join our Recruitment Assessment and Matching Team as a Senior Social Worker.

Based at Endeavour House in Ipswich this hybrid role is central to recruiting and assessing Foster Carers and Adopters to ensure Suffolks Looked After Children are supported to reach their full potential.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Senior Social Worker you will:

  • Lead on the recruitment of Foster Carers and Prospective Adopters across Suffolk.
  • Undertake Fostering Form F assessments (support and training provided).
  • Complete transferring Foster Carer assessments.
  • Co-deliver Skills to Foster training and Fostering Information Evenings.
  • Support family finding for children needing permanent foster homes.
  • Contribute to marketing and social media efforts to promote fostering and adoption.
  • Provide support and consultation to colleagues and partners.

You will play a key role in shaping the future of fostering in Suffolk working within a team that is creative supportive and passionate about achieving the best outcomes for children.

You will need

A relevant social work qualification and Social Work England registration is essential.
