Playgroup SA in partnership with the Office for Early Childhood Development delivers the Ready Set Progress program providing developmental checks and tailored support to children and families across South Australia. This is your opportunity to make a real impact as part of a dynamic team committed to helping every child thrive.
About the Roles:
As a Child Development Facilitator (Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist) youll team up with Allied Health professionals to deliver on-the-spot developmental checks and tailored immediate support for families within playgroups and community settings. Your work will play a key role in helping children reach important milestones and build strong foundations for the future.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Were offering flexible hourswork between 2 to 5 days a week depending on your availability. Part-time or job-share arrangements are also on the table for the right candidates.
These roles are based in Kent Town and include travel across the greater metro area with occasional regional trips. They are fixed-term contracts through to December 2025.
Qualifications & Experience
For the Speech Pathology role youll have a degree in Speech Pathology and be eligible for registration with Speech Pathology Australia. For the Occupational Therapy role youll hold a degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA.
Whichever your specialty youll bring solid experience supporting children aged up to 5 years and working alongside families and caregivers to help kids thrive.
Skills & Know-How
Youre a natural communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly connect with families playgroup and ECA coordinators.
Personal Qualities
Youre organised empathetic and culturally awareready to tailor your support to meet the unique needs of each family.
Youll also need a current Working with Children Check to have completed Safe Environments for Children and Young People training a valid drivers license and First Aid certificate.
