Job Description
Required Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in a related field AND:
- 36 months in student programming student services or closely related experience.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Computer skills including proficiency in navigating and maintaining databases
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to communicate well and build rapport with students faculty and staff

The position oversees OU Laws Co-curricular Activities for Student Exceptionalism (CASE) Program which allows students to achieve points for engaging in certain activities and awards scholarships to the highest achievers. The CASE Program is based on the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System (IAALS) standards designed to train holistic lawyers and the person in this job will liaise with experiential faculty career services OU Law alumni and other subject matter experts to continue/add menu experiences i.e. pro bono work networking events leadership posts etc. to ensure that students develop professionalism skills. Additionally the person will serve as the content planner on all student programming at the law school e.g. orientation professionalism workshops etc. Finally the position oversees the pro bono fellowship and student mentorship programs.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Administers the CASE (Co-curricular Activities for Student Exceptionalism) program including but not limited to updating the menu with point-eligible activities promoting the program ensuring proper records and aligning CASE scholarships with strategic goals;
- Serves as the content planner on student programming under the Office of Student Engagement including but limited to Graduation Open House Orientation Section Release party Admitted Students Day Professional Identity Mixer On-Campus Interviews and Professionalism Night;
- Coordinates the Law schools pro bono fellowship and student mentor programs;
- Liaises with College of Law stakeholders and student leaders on student-led activities;
- Provides all student content to the MarComm Account executive for external-facing communications;
- Assesses the effectiveness of student co-curricular programming and makes reports to College administrators and faculty;
- Advises the Dean for Student Engagement on all matters related to co-curricular involvement with student;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
