Job purpose:
You will join our MEP & Mechanical design team in the Arcadis Iasi office. In this department we are focusing our attention on a few domains: building installations (HVAC Electrical Plumbing Water distribution Fire safety Fire detection Security and CCTV) High Voltage Power and Distribution lines and substations Street lighting and Mechanical Design.
For building installations we cover all types of assets from office to universities schools industrial residential and retail buildings.
The job purpose is to design different types of low voltage installations (power interior and exterior lighting grounding lightning protection command and control).
Job description:
As an electrical low voltage design engineer your job consists of:
Designing electrical installations up to 1 kV (power and lighting);
Performing lighting calculations using different software such as DiaLux;
Design of grounding and lightning protection installations;
Performing feasibility studies conceptual and final design;
Preparing all the necessary drawings for the specific phase of projects (2D plans schematics);
Preparing BIM models for the specific use case.
Your role will include but is not limited to:
Work with the project team to create all design documents drawings and calculations: layout drawings single and multi-line diagrams protection and control schematics section and detail drawings and application of mark-ups for project built drawings;
Communicate and coordinate project activities with project leaders and team members from other disciplines.
Qualifications
Mandatory:
At least Bachelors degree (Electrical Engineer or Building Services Engineer);
Good knowledge of electrical LV design;
Experience in cable calculation grounding calculation lightning protection calculation;
Experience in LV protection devises;
You need to easily interpret electrical schematics of existing installations current standards suppliers specifications and scope documents as base of the engineering;
A strong affinity for electrical engineering and willing to continue to build technical expertise;
Minimum 2 years of experience in the domain;
Medium English language skills;
Good knowledge of Autocad;
Accuracy and details focus;
Technical and quality focus.
Nice to have:
Knowledge of specialized software (Revit ETAP EPLAN Amtech Intelec etc.);
Knowledge of command and control systems for motor starting;
ANRE certificate IIA;
Security systems designer certification;
Advanced English language skills.
