The Registrars Office at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for the position of Assistant Registrar Graduate Admissions.
Reporting to the Associate Registrar Admissions the Assistant Registrar Graduate Admissions is responsible for working with the Dean of Graduate Studies Dean of Education and Graduate Program Directors/Coordinators to identify entrance criteria for non-thesis programs of study extending offers of admission providing real-time admissions updates to both applicants and graduate programs and other duties as assigned by the Associate Registrar Admissions. Duties shall include:
An undergraduate degree in a related discipline plus two years of work experience in an educational setting is required for this position. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Effective communication skills with faculty university administration and potential students are essential as is a strong commitment to excellent client service. Candidates must be proficient in analysis and research activities required for this role. Strong time management and organizational skills are essential in this deadline-driven multi-tasking environment. This position may require evening and weekend work. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Powerpoint) and have an aptitude for or previous experience using business enterprise systems such as Colleague Banner PeopleSoft etc.
