Job description:
The Structural Change Controller would be responsible for tracking and documenting changes across ongoing projects by reviewing and comparing updated drawings with previous sets to ensure all modifications are accurately captured.
Credentials:
- Ability to determine the importance or urgency of a set of tasks and organizing them accordingly to optimize time resources and outcomes.
- Outlines the steps and resources needed to execute tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with 2D and some 3D modeling
- Ability to complete all the junior-level prerequisites.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for tracking and documenting changes across ongoing projects by reviewing and comparing updated drawings with previous sets to ensure all modifications are accurately captured
- Provides technical assistance within the limits of his competence to the Project Management Team
- Develops the on-going tools and work methods improvement plans.
- Makes sure that all the documents that are under his responsibility are methodically
prepared according to the drafting standard and procedures. - Consults with superior for any special considerations.
- Incorporates and understands corrections and/or adjustments after drawing are checked.
- Utilizes computer assisted drafting equipment and software like Bluebeam and Excel.
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective manner with coworkers and supervisors.
- Performs other job duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications :
Requirements:
- Graduate of Bachelor of Technology in Drafting Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (professional license not required)
- Preferably with a minimum of 2 years experience in steel detailing particularly using SDS2 or Tekla
- Basic ability to read and interpret structural drawings
- Good time management interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of written and spoken English
- Experienced in reviewing and annotating 3D models
- Experience using Bluebeam particularly for overlay tasks is a plus
- Capable of working effectively under varying workloads and shifting priorities
