Undergraduate Trainee - Product Management – Developer Experience

At IFS we believe in empowering people to do meaningful work that drives real impact. As a Product Management Intern within the Developer Experience area youll help shape how our global engineering teams work through better tools smarter processes and human-centered insights.

Your Role

Youll work alongside the Technology Product Manager for Developer Experience to support initiatives that improve developer workflows tools and insights. This is a hands-on role where youll contribute to real projects and gain exposure to product strategy research automation and internal tooling.

Research & Analysis

• Run developer experience surveys and conduct user/customer interviews.

• Perform market research and competitor analysis on developer tools.

• Recommend KPIs and methods to measure developer productivity.

Tooling & Automation

• Evaluate new technologies and AI tools to improve workflows.

• Automate repetitive tasks and build small helper tools likely using relevant AI tools from Microsoft.

• Add & analyze adoption telemetry for internal developer tools

Documentation & Reporting

• Clean up and restructure Confluence documentation.

• Write reports compile visionary statements and contribute to PM deliverables.

• Curate research repositories using state-of-the-art AI tools

Community & Communication

• Support the IFS Developer Program and drive internal developer community engagement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve internal documentation and reporting.

• Manage licenses for AI Coding tools and contribute to evaluations of the latest technology.

Qualifications :

Ideal Characteristics

• A student in the later stages of their undergraduate studies or a recent graduate in a relevant field.

• Available full-time for 612 months.

• A self-starter with a strong bias for actionyou take initiative and follow through.

• Eager to learn and unafraid to try things youve never done before.

• Creative confidenceyou show your thinking through action not just words.

• An efficient communicator with fluency in Englishable to understand instructions ask smart questions and clearly report progress.

• AI-first - youre experienced with using AI chatbots like Microsoft Copilot ChatGPT Perplexity or Gemini etc and ready to attempt any challenge coming your way with the help of these tools

Example Backgrounds

• Design You know how to run user research ask open-ended questions and synthesize insights.

• Technology You can write code (Python JavaScript/TypeScript or Java) but youre most of all eager to work with people and drive business outcomes.

• Product Youre a generalist who understands common business concepts (profit/loss strategy storytelling JTBD framework etc.) and is ready to do whatever it takes to move things forward.

Internship Timeline

• 03 Months: Learn IFS tools and processes support ongoing tasks.

• 36 Months: Take ownership of specific assignments report progress.

• 612 Months: Lead a sub-initiative within Developer Experience with mentorship.
