Description

Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee Concord Hospitality Enterprises. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotels employment policies and practices including hiring firing discipline staffing compensation benefits and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International Inc.

Description

We are hiring a Director of Banquets! FT $80000

Responsibilities:

  • Know how to understand and direct Group Sales.
  • Solicit business i.e. conventions sports groups reunions etc.
  • Train Sales Account and Event Managers on their job responsibilities.
  • Develop sales strategies for group market segments.
  • Develop departmental budget to support group sales revenue.
  • Forecast potential group business for the hotel.
  • Know how to understand and direct Reservation Sales to.
  • Set room rates and restrictions to achieve sales also with input from the General Manager.
  • Establish budgeted transient sales goals for the fiscal year (with input from the General Manager)
  • Solicit and oversee catering sales efforts of banquet space.
  • Train Catering/Sales Managers on their job responsibilities.
  • Develop catering/sales strategies.
