Job Summary:

Are you a student currently pursuing a degree in electrical engineering computer engineering or systems engineering Do you have an interest in Electrical Test Engineering If so Raytheon an RTX Business could be the perfect place for your next co-op rotation!

*Opportunity to become an Electrical Test Engineer with strong technical and communication skills to take responsibility for Operations Test in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Here at Raytheon our Operations Test Team ensures product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement.

As an Electrical Test Engineer embedded within the Production Value Stream youll be a high-value participant on cross-functional teams utilizing circuitry skills and expertise to identify issue resolutions and also frequently interfacing with internal customers.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform data analysis of test results of PWB electrical parameters using Microsoft Excel to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.1
  • Work with engineering mentor and test operators while performing hands-on test and troubleshooting of a wide variety of circuit boards using test equipment such as multi-meters oscilloscopes and V/I Curve Tracers.
  • Provide production floor support to address process and compliance issues from all levels.
  • Work with Electrical Test Equipment (oscilloscopes and multi-meters)
  • Utilize Microsoft Office (VBA programming)
  • Gain knowledge of digital and electronic circuits
  • Work in teams for improvement activities (e.g. 6-sigma lean manufacturing)
  • Use Pareto analysis cause/effect diagrams process mapping and/or other performance analysis tools
  • Exercise sound judgment and apply decision making skills with appropriate supervisory intervention
  • Develop solutions to technical problems

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • This position is for an intern/co-op who is actively enrolled in a Bachelor or masters degree program and pursuing a major in one of the following; Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or Systems Engineering***
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • GPA of 3.0 or better strongly desired
  • Previous co-op experience
  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Ability to work well both as part of a team or as an individual contributor
  • Be a key contributor to our Operations team
  • ABET is the preferred although not required accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
