Wearecurrently looking for a Mortgage Loan Processor II to join our Residential Lending Operationsteam.
Job Summary
The Mortgage Loan Processor is an integral part of our team responsible for collecting and verifying the information necessary to process complete mortgage loan applications. The loan processor is responsible for ensuring compliance with lending regulations while communicating with borrowers and loan officers to successfully clear loan conditions. Consistent and timely communication directly with the borrower any third parties and real estate agents. Key accountability for all aspects of a file and own the successful borrower outcome and experience.
What you can expect to work on
Partner with the Loan Officer to ensure a timely and seamless experience for our customers throughout the entire process.
Provide weekly pipeline update/reviews to team; work proactively with support team to ensure all tasks are received.
Thorough knowledge of all loan products including Conventional FHA VA & NASBs Portfolio guidelines with the ability to interpret and apply knowledge to help Loan Officer restructure loan scenarios and clear underwriting conditions.
Ensure accuracy by reviewing and analyzing all aspects of the mortgage credit package including but not limited to: Read and analyze AUS (DU/LP) and obtain any further requirements based on the findings Accuracy of system input reviewing asset and income documentation including personal and business tax returns credit report and credit documentation.
Reviews complete files such as application disclosures credit fraud report assets and liabilities and calculate income prior to initial underwrite.
Review credit prior to closing for undisclosed debt and address any additional debt not shown on the original credit report.
Proactively manage a pipeline to key benchmarks including internal service level agreements contractual dates and lock expirations.
High level of responsiveness to internal and external customers; willingness to go above and beyond taking extra steps if necessary to ensure completeness and a smooth process for all.
Responsible for heeding any system warnings with regard to the CFPB ATR/QM rules. Reporting any information to UW and/or the Loan Originator that they may find out during the processing of the loan that could impact the loans ATR/QM status.
What you offer us
Education/Experience:
A minimum of 3 years previous mortgage processing experience.
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree or equivalent college coursework preferred.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service focus. Ability to navigate difficult conversations through both internal and external groups to achieve a positive outcome.
- Strong analytical detail oriented problem-solving ability to exercise good judgement and to help find resolution to problems independently while also considering the downstream impact.
- Ability to effectively collaborate within a teamwork environment and build strong working relationships across functional partners maintain effective communications required to enhance customer experience and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ability to effectively manage pipeline and contract closing dates while delivering a consistent exceptional customer experience.
- Ability to work on multiple transactions simultaneously and meet service level turnaround deadlines.
- Self-motivated entrepreneurial persona with excellent time-management and organization skills which require minimal supervision.
- Thrive in an environment focused on collaboration and innovation with the ability to implement adapt to innovative technology and process workflows.

Work Environment
This position is primarily in-office with remote work one to two days per week.
This position will be based out of our Kansas City 435 & Holmes location.
