Make a Difference in Someones Day
Are you friendly reliable and enjoy helping others Join Sight Scotland as a Volunteer Befriender and help transform the life of someone living with visual impairment.
Were looking for compassionate individuals to support one of our clients for just 12 hours per week. Youll assist them with their weekly shopping trip whether thats accompanying them in person or completing the shop on their behalf.
What Youll Do:
Visit or meet a client once a week (on a weekday that suits you both)
Support them with shopping tasks either accompanying them or shopping on their behalf
Offer friendly conversation and companionship
What Youll Bring:

Reliability and a friendly approachable manner

At Sight Scotland we believe that no one should face sight loss alone. As a Volunteer Befriender youll play a vital role in helping someone maintain their independence and stay connected with their community.
Location: Portobello and/or Musselburgh
Commitment: 1 day per week (MondayFriday) 12 hours
