Days/Afternoons (United States of America)Responsible for the efficient operation of the Trauma Registry by developing interpreting implementing and maintaining appropriate trauma data collection. The Registry Coordinator is responsible for abstracting accurate information from the medical record and assigning ICD9 codes E-codes and procedure codes to the trauma registry patient population by using the International Classification of Disease system to maintain the highest quality of data integrity regularly. The Registry Coordinator will also assign AIS scores by utilizing standards set forth by the AAAM to again ensure the highest quality of data integrity. They are also responsible for physician tracking and profiling for proper completion of trauma data and to assure compliance with standards set forth by The American College of Surgeons (ACS) and St. Ritas Medical Center. Provides statistical and PI/QI data on the SRMC trauma patient population for the achievement of the highest quality of care. Also utilized for tracking trending hospital planning educational purposes and Regional State and National Registry reporting and credentialing and profiling of physicians involved in trauma care. Manages the department on an interim basis in the absence of the Trauma Program Manager in consultation with the Trauma Medical Director and/or the Chief Clinical Officer. Consults with the Trauma Program Manager to assure that all standards mentioned above are met and maintained.
