Directs the strategic planning for public health nursing consistent with agency objectives and requirements. Coordinates program with other state agencies health care providers educational institutions community organization etc. Implements special projects as directed by the division director. Directs subordinate managers and staff. Provides direction and influence on agency policy. Provides leadership across multiple units departments and/or regions.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Masters degree in nursing public health or related field from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of professional nursing managerial or supervisory role and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level PH Manager 3 (HCM082) or position equivalent.

The use of wellness breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and assist employees in meeting their wellness goals. A maximum of 30 minutes in a given workday may be used to engage in wellness activities generally in the form of two 15-minute breaks or one 30-minute break.

DPH accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE). DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree diploma licensure etc.
