If this sounds like a match for you The City of Walnut Creek is seeking a well-qualified and team-oriented candidate to apply for the position of Street Maintenance Supervisor.
Regional Government Services and its staff are conducting the recruitment on behalf of the City of Walnut Creek.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Street Maintenance Division is comprised of thirteen employees and consists of three sections: Streets Clean Water and Sidewalks Curb and Gutters. The Street Maintenance Supervisor under administrative direction supervises 12 staff members and is responsible for coordinating work activities of street maintenance crews in the field. In addition the Streets Maintenance Supervisor participates in the maintenance cleaning and repair of streets storm drains and related facilities; serves as a member of the departments management team and participates in departmental policy development administrative planning and problem resolution.

Education and Experience: Graduation from high school and a minimum of five years of extensive experience in street maintenance and repair work including two years of supervisory or lead worker experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities.
Special Requirements:
Possession of or ability to obtain prior to employment a valid Class C California Drivers License and a good driving record.
In emergency situations the employee may be called upon to report for work or coordinate appropriate activities during off-duty hours.
