Position Overview

Performs all office clerical receptionist and customer service duties specific to Plant Services physical facility planning construction maintenance and operations within the Health Centre complex.

Experience

  • Minimum three (3) years experience within the past five (5) years in a construction trade office environment preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Complete high school education Manitoba standards required.
  • Post-secondary certificate from a recognized secretarial course or program preferred.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Works within MHCs core values philosophy vision CQI goals policies and procedures.
  • Must have a demonstrated knowledge / proficient understanding of physical facility planning construction maintenance and operations terminology.
  • Must demonstrate a competent ability for effectively communicating with the public.
  • Ensures all responsibilities are performed in an efficient effective manner.
  • Proficiency in software programs: HIPPO CMMS Microsoft Office Programs (Word Excel Outlook Email/Calendar) Site Master Windows SAP and ESP.
  • Ability to function as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team including collaboration team work and good communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Physical health to meet the requirements of the position.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre Deer Lodge Centre Golden West Centennial Lodge Grace Hospital Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg Pan Am Clinic River Park Gardens Victoria General Hospital WRHA corporate programs and WRHA community health services.
