Job Description
Hiring Opportunity: Zanesville Ohio
Our client is looking to hire a Process Engineer for their plant in Zanesville Ohio! Our client is a leader in environmentally beneficial reclamation of spent oil refinement.
Qualified candidates for the Process Engineer would have experience with Heavy Industrial background Proficient in SPC and DOE Project management and a 4 year science degree in Extractive Metallurgical Engineering Metallurgical Engineering or Chemical Engineering Degree.
Job Responsibilities:
- Comply with safety and environmental requirements
- Train and provide guidance for members of your team to ensure their safety and mitigate environmental
risk; build a culture of safety engagement
- Provide support with final design concepts configurations and installation
- Provide technical support during commissioning and start-up
- During ongoing operations develop assess and implement process improvements that increase
equipment reliability productivity capacity throughput quality and efficiency; work with Operations and
Engineering to optimize Melt Shop and Roaster production while reducing cost
- Collect data and apply standard scientific and statistical methods to measure analyze document and
evaluate operational processes; develop and maintain reports to track and monitor key data
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in extractive metallurgical engineering preferred; metallurgical engineering
or chemical engineering degree required; MS or MBA a plus
- 3-5 years of experience required; heavy manufacturing experience a plus
- Strong process/technical/analytical skills
- Proficient in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiment (DOE) methodologies
- Previous project management experience a strong plus
- Previous supervisory experience a plus
- Command of lean manufacturing principles; mindset for continuous improvement
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Excel) knowledgeable of MS Project Management Primavera
Minitab and Thermo-Calc Software applications
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 a plus
