Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bath and North East Somerset to assist with the appointment of an Applications lead on a 3-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 22.17 - 29.25 per hour

Summary:

Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking a skilled and strategic Applications Lead to support and develop the Liquidlogic application suite across Adult Childrens or Education services. This individual will act as a key technical leader ensuring application reliability performance and compliance with ITIL best practices. The successful candidate will bring strong stakeholder collaboration application support and team mentorship capabilities along with a deep understanding of social care systems and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the support maintenance and strategic development of the Liquid logic application across relevant service areas.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions by collaborating closely with stakeholders.
  • Manage system upgrades patches and enhancements ensuring minimal disruption and optimal functionality.
  • Resolve escalated issues effectively liaising with external suppliers and monitoring service responses.
  • Ensure application performance security and compliance with ITIL v4 standards.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant subject area or equivalent knowledge and experience in a similar strategic applications role.
  • ITIL v4 Qualification.

Requirements:
  • Agile Foundation Certificate.
  • Proven experience supporting and developing the Liquidlogic application.
  • Subject matter expertise in one or more areas of social care: Adults Childrens or Education services.
  • Strong track record of stakeholder engagement and translating requirements into technical deliverables.
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience in managing escalations with external software providers and driving issues to resolution.
  • Skilled in planning testing and implementing system upgrades and application enhancements.
