Overview
Summary
Within the context of a client/resident and family centred care model and in accordance with established vision and values of VCH Tlaamin Nation and Lift Community Services the Activity Worker works under general supervision and in cooperation with multi-disciplinary team members to carry out established activity programs.
Responsibilities include organizing activities accompanying clients/residents on outings and coordinating portering demonstrating and teaching activity techniques and assisting clients/residents with practicing daily living skills. Reports relevant observations of client/resident progress and behaviours to Therapist and/or other healthcare staff provides direction to volunteers organizes equipment and supplies for activities ensures a safe work environment and maintains established inventory of supplies.

Education and Experience
Grade 12 completion of recognized recreational courses plus two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
