Mental Health Support Coordinator Tamworth & Surrounds
Full-time Permanent Entry Level
HealthWISE is looking for a caring and motivated Mental Health Support Coordinator to join our wellbeing team supporting individuals in Tamworth and surrounding areas.
In this entry-level role youll provide compassionate non-clinical support to people following a suicide attempt helping them build resilience connect with services and work towards recovery in a safe and supported way.
About the Role:
- Deliver community-based suicide aftercare and support
- Assist in developing Safety and Support Plans for clients
- Work closely with clinicians GPs and community services
- Strengthen social and emotional wellbeing
- Provide outreach services with some travel and after-hours work
About You:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Mental Health (or equivalent)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passionate about supporting people with mental health challenges
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Drivers licence Working With Children Check National Police Check required
- Lived experience of mental health condition or experience of caring for someone with a mental health condition including suicidal ideation (desirable)
