Position Summary:
We are offering to qualified and experienced candidates a sign-on bonus not to exceed 10% of salary for this position.
St. Mary Medical Center is a Level II Trauma Hospital with 26 beds in our Emergency Department. Our ER sees an average of 150 visits per day. We are certified by TJC as a Comprehensive Stroke Center are a STEMI Heart Attack Center and have been designated by Los Angeles County as an Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP). We are also an Emergency Base Station.
As our Director of Nursing Emergency Services you will lead your team and drive the overall quality of care provided by the ER personnel. You will advise medical staff other department heads and administrators in matters related to patient care clinical best practices and strategies. You will communicate the organizations goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional quality care. At the same time you will advocate for your team by bringing any issues requests or new ideas from them to senior leadership.
We are looking for an experienced manager or director with a track record of success in mid to large sized hospitals overseeing ED services. To thrive in this role you must be competent and confident with excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups. You will tackle tough conversations and above all be an educator at heart.
