Summary:
Paint Technicians are responsible for the precise spraying of protective finishes curing and other processing of component parts or full assemblies per work orders or technical data.
Responsibilities:
- Provide their internal customers with correct products and services on-time.
- Create communicate and accomplish daily department schedules.
- Keep WOs and associated documentation with each part throughout the manufacturing process and providing documentation to their internal customer.
- Retain part traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
- Keep Cetec order location data current and correct.
- Full and complete understanding of HWI 40801-19 and all other pertinent HCOA Operation Procedures or Work Instructions.
- Tint tone match and blend coating materials add various agents and combine coating mixtures to get the proper color texture consistency and drying state.
- Apply coating materials by any of the accepted methods and devices.
- Communicates work orally or through work orders which include application of protective coatings ensuring that surface coatings meet level and thickness requirements.
- Prepare surfaces by any of the accepted methods and techniques and ensure that they meet aerodynamic smoothness grade and Patten requirements.
- Ensure work areas are clean and free from Foreign Object Debris.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School or General Education Diploma
- Paint booth experience (automotive boat aircraft etc.)
- Ability to read comprehend and adhere to technical data
- Microsoft Office Suite and data entry into ERP systems
- Preferred:
- Experience in wearing full body outfit and respirator in warm/hot enclosed rooms
- Experience with applying paint coatings (in a booth) wearing paint suit and a full face mask. Preferred experience with painting aircraft parts or automobiles.
The employee may be required to successfully pass the HCOA Respirator Qualification program as an essential job duty due to exposure to particulates and fumes. Technicians are required to stand for a full shift while wearing full PPE in a heated environment. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Correctable vision to 20/20 with full depth perception. Ability to pass DOT Drug Testing requirements (49 CFR Part 40).
Hours: 2:00pm -10:30pm. Monday through Friday. Onsite only.
PAY: $20-22 an hour dependent upon experience plus $1.50 shift differential.
Background and Drug test required.
