Job Description
This is skilled trades work assembling installing maintaining repairing and replacing structures equipment finishes and accessories across all maintenance trades. OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION Knowledge of general maintenance trades techniques methods and procedures. Skill in performing general maintenance trades functions. Ability to complete general maintenance trades duties and responsibilities. Ability to direct employees to perform assigned tasks. Ability to use hand tools and power tools and equipment properly. Ability to read and clearly understand blueprints. Ability to plan organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to carry erect climb and maneuver on ladders and/ or scaffolds; work in tight and awkward spaces; work off ofroofs cat walks and other elevated areas. Ability to carry or otherwise move loads of 50 pounds or more (pipe wire toolboxes etc.). Ability to understand and apply University rules regulations policies and procedures. Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and within extreme temperature ranges. Visual ability corrected to observe people and/or vehicles moving through the work area in order to redirect work orequipment to avoid injuries to the people or damage to the vehicles Ability to communicate information effectively in English both verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
