Salary Information

Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.

**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and Montgomery Personnel Board Rules & Regulations**

Nature of Work

Thefundamental reason this position exists is to provide service in the managementand operation of all mobile devices and their respective systems. The workresponsibilities include the administration configuration and security of allmobile devices within the organization including mobile phones iPads andtablets. This role involves maintaining inventory ordering and purchasingmobile equipment troubleshooting and replacing lost or damaged devices andensuring compliance with security policies and organizational standards. The ITSpecialist collaborates with vendors department heads and internal teams toassess needs implement updates and support mobile device users. Additionallythe role includes processing vendor invoices allocating departmental billingcodes and recommending improvements for mobile device strategies. Theclassification reports to an IT Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelors degree inInformation Technology Computer Science or a related field and four (4) yearsof experience in IT support Mobile Device Management (MDM) administration ora related role. Proficiency with MDM solutions mobile operating systems (iOSAndroid) and mobile device security is required. Strong analyticalproblem-solving communication and organizational skills are essential.

NOTE:Qualifying education training and experience that provide therequisite knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job will beconsidered.

Special Requirements

Must be willing towork at night or during weekends as be able to connect to the network from home through VPN or dial-upto provide emergency recovery using City of Montgomery-supplied IT equipmentor reports to work during non-business hours as appropriate. Employees are strongly encouraged to achievecertifications. This position requires a valid motorvehicle operators license to operate a motor vehicle.
