The Medical Receptionist provides and maintains an efficient clerical and secretarial service to the Medical Specialists and is responsible for the successful and smooth running of a medical practice/s.
The Position
Deal with telephone and front line reception enquiries in a courteous and highly professional manner.
Manage the intake and referral process.
Manage appointment diary of medical practice/s.
Manage online Medicare billings and batching.
Manage petty cash balancing of daily receipting banking and mail.
Prepare medical records for medical practice/s.
Input patient details in to clinical software in a detailed and accurate manner.
Ensure admission forms are completed for all hospital procedures.
Communicate effectively to pre-admission patient/s in preparation for their treatment.
Coordinate pathology and diagnostic tests and ensure the most recent results are available.
Liaise with patients and their families in a caring and compassionate manner.
Liaise and collaboratively work with Medical Practitioners Medical Receptionists and other caregivers.
Type medical letters using audio typing.
Photocopy and fax information as requested.
You will have relevant previous experience in a similar position or medical practice with advanced computer skills including clinical software programs and knowledge of medical terminology. You will have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality with the ability to work independently while under pressure with high attention to detail and accuracy.
To succeed you will have outstanding verbal and written communications skills and well developed time management skills while displaying a positive attitude excellent presentation and a flexible approach to working hours.

We can offer you
Salary: $66608 - $71901 per annum (pro-rate for part-time) plus 11.5% superannuation
A permanent part time position 25 hours per week
