Illumina Global Information Systems (GIS) team is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manager of Salesforce Software Engineering to support our Commercial Sales and Revenue Operations organization for project implementations and ongoing support of Illuminas global Salesforce Sales Cloud Marketing Cloud and Conga system.
This leadership role will provide challenging and continuous innovation with opportunities to demonstrate deep technical knowledge of the system and lead highly skilled team members. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Salesforce leader who is passionate about designing scalable solutions for the business building mentoring and empowering teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead design develop unit test document and deploy high quality business solutions documents on the Salesforce platform.. Ensuring the delivery of highly secure solutions that are optimized for performance and built to scale.
Collaborate with Illumina and external consulting resources product owners on requirement gathering design estimation and delivery of new features.
Lead a team of software and test engineers in developing and maintaining scalable and performant customer solutions. Includes collaborating with external consulting resources and business product owners on requirements design estimation and delivery of features.
Own and manage best practices technical debt scalability and security within Salesforce ecosystem.
Make tactical and strategic decisions based on priority data process and system dependencies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams and stakeholders
Should be a knowledge seeker and continue to provide guidance on emerging technologies especially in salesforce domain.
Experience with Agile development methodologies with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements:
Must have 12 years of hands-on experience building complex solutions on salesforce platform.
Must have 3 years of experience as people manager
Must have experience leading technical projects with experience coaching and mentoring junior team members
Must have solid understanding of Sales cloud. Marketing and Service cloud knowledge is an advantage.
Deep expertise in apex platform events triggers VF LWC security model and declarative tools within Salesforce.
Must have a strong understanding of Salesforce best practices governor limits and performance optimization.
Must have experience working with RESTful interface patterns and framework.
Must be able to review code and recommend best practices for both apex and client-side scripting.
Must have experience and understanding of CI/CD DevOps principles.
Should have experience with any language such as java or python.
Should have experience with front end languages and backend tools for web engineering such as JavaScript HTML5 CSS.
Should have experience with AWS or Azure.
Should be Certified Administrator Certified Salesforce Platform Developer II.
Position requires being on-call for critical support issues.
