The Position:
Neelands Group Limited is searching for aSheet Metal Worker (308A) (Term 1 - Term 5) Apprentice to join our team at the Burlington Ontario location. This is a regular full-time union position with a full union compensation package.Reporting to the Senior HVAC Manager the Apprentice will work closely with the team on installation of HVAC systems.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Journeyman to measure mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed on projects according to specifications
- Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with TDC Cleats bolts and welded joints
- Ensure that efficiency is maximized while installing HVAC systems while in fast-paced environment
- Ensure making safety a priority on the job during all activities including while using tools installing and fabricating duct systems
- Good housekeeping and organization
- Work well independently and in a team environment
Qualifications:
- Registered Apprentice (Term 1 - Term 5)
- G3 Gas license (G2 is considered an asset)
- Valid G license with a clean driver abstract
- High School diploma
- English language proficiency (read/write/speak)
- Experience in brazing is considered an asset
- Commercial and industrial HVAC experience an asset
