Job Description:
The sustainable vegetable production lab in the Department of Horticulture at Iowa State University is seeking interns for the 2024 growing season. This is an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on learning and research experience in sustainable vegetable production. Hours are flexible depending on each interns availability. The intern will assist with plot establishment weeding scouting harvest data collection laboratory extractions and data entry.
Under direct supervision performs routine unskilled manual labor to assist in a temporary capacity (less than 780 hours per fiscal year) at workshops conferences camps and other special events.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to lift and move furniture and equipment.
Ability to learn to perform a variety of unskilled tasks.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
