Basic Job Functions:
The Vulcraft-Verco Group of Nucor the industry leader in open-web steel joists and Joist Girders floor and roof decking and bar grating is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to participate with our Innovation Services Team in creating cutting-edge building construction products and services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of guiding cross-functional teams through complex projects employing the design thinking process and delivering high-quality results on time. This role will be integral to driving innovation ensuring stakeholder alignment and enabling the success of the team and the organization. Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Lead the development and delivery of innovative building construction products and services.
- Guide a cross-functional team through the design thinking process from ideation to implementation.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements manage expectations and align project goals.
- Establish clear goals plans and timelines galvanizing the team towards achieving project milestones.
- Ensure high-quality results by employing best practices in project management and product development.
- Foster an environment that enables team members to succeed and grow professionally.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of experience in project management
Experience in product design/design thinking process.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Design Design Thinking Product Design and Implementation or related field.
- Experience with product development project management
- Experience with open web steel joists and steel deck products
