Summary
Organization: Plan International Canada
Reports to: Digital Solutions Architect Salesforce CRM and Digital Experience

Status: 12 months Contract Full-Time (Maternity Leave Cover)
Grade: 8
The Position
As a Sr. Sitecore Engineer you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a business Salesforce experience platform and content management system. Your role involves improving performance implementing new features and creating creative content to enhance the overall user experience.
What success looks like
Hands on Expertise:
Utilize programming languages such as C# NodeJS TypeScript HTML5 CSS Bootstrap and JavaScript.
Develop and update Sitecore solutions ensuring they align with business goals.
Technical Contributions:
Lead and participate in the introduction and implementation of new technologies and frameworks.
Create project deliverables proof-of-concepts and pilot new technologies.
Ensure quality code delivery from team members and vendors through code review and best practice verification.
Web Development Lifecycle:
Collaborate extensively in all phases of the web development life cycle.
Assist in the architecture of web-based applications.
Develop technical solutions that meet user and business requirements.
Optimization Scalability and Security:
Collaborate extensively in all phases of the web development life cycle.
Assist in the architecture of web-based applications.
Develop technical solutions that meet user and business requirements.
Implement security configuration using groups roles and permissions.
As our ideal candidate you will have:
Certifications (preferred but not required):
o Sitecore Certified Professional Developer (SCPD) or equivalent.
Experience in designing and developing solutions for mobile web and cloud-based applications including payment processing i.e. cloud computing service models.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in design and development of web applications using At least 5 years of experience specifically with Sitecore XP with a strong understanding of Sitecore architecture and best practices
Desired skills include proficiency in JQuery CSS JavaScript AJAX HTML5 and XML.
Familiarity with design patterns and C#.
Minimum of six years of experience with at least four years working as a senior applications architect or senior web developer with Sitecore.
Experience analyzing defining implementing and operating Content and Asset Lifecycle Management processes.
Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
Prior experience as a digital architect senior software engineer or senior systems designer.
Experience with Source Control (e.g. GitHub) Jira Agile Methodology.

The salary range for this position is anticipated to be between $73000 and $91000. We comprehensively evaluate a variety of factors to determine fair compensation including experience specific job-related skills and relevant educational or professional training. Additionally we ensure that compensation is equitable across our team and aligns with current market trends. This role also qualifies for an extensive benefits package and generous paid time off.
