The Role
The position is permanent with flexible options available including fully remote hybrid part-time or full-time arrangements. With projects across the UK and office locations in Greater Manchester London and Derbyshire and the option to be based remotely the client can offer flexibility on location.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a broad portfolio of ecological projects from initiation through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing fee proposals and tender submissions
- Planning resourcing and delivering ecological surveys (including out-of-hours work and travel as needed)
- Producing clear concise ecological reports (PEA BNG EcIA etc.)
- Liaising with clients sub-contractors and other project stakeholders
- Providing quality assurance and reviewing the written work of other team members
- Mentoring junior ecologists and supporting skills development within the team
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be proactive solutions-focused and committed to delivering work to a high standard. Key attributes and requirements include:
- A relevant degree and minimum of three years professional experience in ecological consultancy
- Strong understanding of PEA EcIA and BNG assessments
- Experience coordinating ecological survey programmes
- Associate or Full membership of CIEEM
- Competency in GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS
- A full UK driving licence
