Job Description
ProMedica Flower Hospitalis located in Sylvania OH a suburb of Toledo being located in one of the areas most beautiful landscapes Sylvania offers a high-quality lifestyle for its residents with Sylvanias public school as one of the finest in the region rated as Excellent by the state of Ohio. There are many outdoor activities to enjoy at our nationally recognized Pacesetter Park along with music and entertainment found at Centennial Terrace and Downtown Sylvania and the LPGA annual Flower Hospital campus is a 311-bed facility that houses the Hickman Cancer Center ER Trauma Center and is the regional leader for inpatient adult psychiatric services.
Position Summary:
TheRN Patient Care Supervisorcoordinates high quality patient care on assigned unit/service. They provide staff support through facilitation coaching and role-modeling leadership behaviors which enhance quality patient care safety for staff/patients excellent customer service and fosters employee development. Other duties may include but are not limited to:
- Manages shift operations related to patient flow staff assignments bed control and rounding with care team members to facilitate meeting patient care needs
- Leads the team in meeting service needs of patients and their families to provided positive patient experience
- Serves as a clinical expert for technical and professional standards of care to ensure high quality of care
- Provides preceptorship coaching and/or identifies learning needs with action plans for employees to foster a positive team environment and competent professionals
- Maintains current knowledge of regulatory compliance and teaches the employees to achieve compliance as a measure of high-quality patient care including continuous process improvement methodologies
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree required or must be able to obtain within 3-year timeframe. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Must be an RN with a current licensure in the State of Ohio
- BLS ACLS required
- Must have a minimum of 2 years in nursing in a patient care area
- Problem solving organizational skills excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to function independently and as an integral member of various teams. Must display a commitment to customer satisfaction.
