Hennepin Technical College seeks a 1-Year Fixed-Term Full Time Communications Instructor dedicated to excellence in career and technical education who desires to become part of an environment that values trust integrity pride passion respect collaboration innovation continuous improvement and diversity. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to embracing quality and innovation in career and technical education workforce development and lifelong learning.
Examples of Duties:
Teach communication studies courses
Continuous curriculum development including the design revisions and implementation of instructional materials and assessment of learner outcomes
Integration of assessment activities into teaching practices and participation in department and college-wide assessment of student learning
Support of the success and development of students through the use of a variety of instructional methods available office hours and by providing additional resources
Development and implementation of on-campus online and hybrid courses
Contribution into department decisions on budget scheduling textbook selection etc.
Participation in discipline team campus and college matters through service on committees; attendance at regular meetings; and continued professional development
Support and advance the department and college mission through ideas and projects
Salary Range:
$44144 - $96906
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree with a major in speech speech communication or communication or communication studies or
Masters degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in speech speech communication or communication or communication studies.
