The Information Technology Technician will assist with operations troubleshooting and maintenance of all technology infrastructure and on-site technical work to install and maintain computer and electronic equipment and software applications throughout the district.
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Associate Degree in a technology related field or equivalent working experience.
Clear and valid drivers license
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Minimum three years of experience with technical Bench Level repair of computer and electronics type equipment.
Minimum three years of experience supporting end-user networks in a Microsoft environment.
Minimum three years of experience supporting a LAN/WAN environment.
Minimum three years of experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory and current Microsoft Operating Systems.
Minimum three years of experience supporting computer workstation setup
Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.
Ability to install maintain and repair computers and peripherals in an enterprise network environment.
Ability to install and maintain network cables and hardware.
Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs.
Experience:
5 years of work experience installing maintaining and repairing computers and peripherals in an enterprise network environment.
Install configure maintain and upgrade computers and peripherals network cabling and network peripherals throughout the district. Relocate computer hardware peripherals and equipment as needed.
Provide technical assistance to users of computers instructional equipment and software.
Install and configure application and operating system software and upgrades.
Assist with the installation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of data communications circuits and equipment.
Assist with the organization and distribution of technology-based material.
Diagnose and repair network connectivity and hardware issues including printers terminals phones smart-boards smart-monitors and personal computers.
Remove old equipment and perform data migration to new machines.
Service equipment according to established preventive maintenance schedule. Maintain accurate updated records of preventive maintenance.
Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
Provide coverage and support for Information Technology Department as directed by supervisor.
Analyze log files investigate and correct or record errors discovered.
Monitor District helpdesk ensure that tickets are closed or escalated properly along with acting as an escalation point for Tier 2 level support.
Assist with network account troubleshooting.
Maintain public address systems.
Assess and perform Bench Level repair on audio visual and electronic components.
Deploy monitor and maintain uninterruptible power supply systems for District technology equipment.
Troubleshoot and maintain low voltage technology related systems.
Develop and maintain repair processes.
Provide administrative support of digital communication systems; including training and orientation for staff.
Ensure regularly scheduled technical maintenance tasks are accomplished on time.
Provide leadership coordination and training for department Technicians.
Maintain accurate inventory of hardware software and other equipment and material.
Identify request and control the inventory of repair parts.
Comply with policies established by federal and state law State Board of Educators and Loacal Board policy
Monitor industry trends technologies and standards.
Research recommend and apply new technologies as they emerge.
Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations.

Hand tools and test instruents for electronic repairs and cable installations; personal computers and peripherals; small truck or van

Repetitive hand motion; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; regular walking grasping/squeezing wrist flexion/extension reaching; may climb ladders

Moderate lifting and carrying (up to 45 pounds); occasional heavy lifting (50 pounds and over) lift up to 15lbs. overhead while standing on a ladder

Exposure to electrical hazards; occasional prolonged and irregular hours; frequent districtwide travel
