Description

Overview:

The City of Richmond seeks to hire an Opioid Abatement Authority Project Coordinator with Virginia Opioid Authority (OAA) grant funds to provide oversight to a cooperative OAA project with Henrico County to assist in reducing overdose deaths and improving the lives of those with opioid use disorder in the city of Richmond. The project includes regularly updating an established resource guide managing the website that hosts the resource guide links to additional resources and data dashboard and frequent collaboration with stakeholders.

Key considerations:

Position is grant funded and not guaranteed from year to year however this position was included in a five-year budget plan that must be renewed annually.


Duties include but are not limited to


  • Lead the planning execution and delivery of the data dashboard and website projects.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines ensuring all milestones are met on schedule.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including developers designers data analysts and content creators.
  • Manage project scope objectives and deliverables in alignment with City of Richmond and Virginia Opioid Abatement Authority goals.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the data dashboard ensuring accurate and up to date information.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to collect process and display relevant data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the City of Richmond Henrico County and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure data integrity and implement quality control measures.
  • Supervise the content and technical aspects of the substance use disorder resource guide.
  • Ensure monthly/annual updates to the resource guide are made accurately and on time.
  • Work with content creators and community stakeholders to generate and update resource materials.
  • Monitor website performance user engagement and analytics to drive improvements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to provide project updates and gather feedback.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure high standards of project deliverables.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of the dashboard and website content.
  • Prepare and present project reports to the City of Richmond senior leadership team Henrico County senior leadership team Richmond Henrico Health District and the Virginia Opioid Abatement Authority.
  • Analyze project performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage the Opioid Response Teams social media accounts including posting to X Facebook LinkedIn and Instagram.

Qualifications Special Certifications and Licenses


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in human services (social work psychology counseling) project management information technology business administration or a related field.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and web content management systems.
  • Experience in non-profit healthcare or government sectors
  • Experience working with community stakeholders
  • Knowledge of treatment resources for substance use disorders especially opioid use disorder
  • Basic understanding of substance abuse disorders.

Requirements:
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on complex projects for extended periods of time.
  • Passion for supporting recovery and treatment of substance use disorders specifically opioid use disorder and improving access to resources.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Due to the nature of work assignments incumbents must be able to perform detailed work on multiple concurrent tasks with frequent interruptions and under time constraint. While performing the essential duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk hear see and use hands wrist or fingers in a repetitive motion finger (pick pinch type or otherwise work primarily with fingers). The employee is occasionally required to walk stand and reach extending arms and hands. In terms of the physical strength to perform the essential duties this classification is considered to be sedentary exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body.
