Summary: The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the service and repair of vehicles brought to the dealership. The Automotive Service Manager is responsible for operations profitability employee supervision and customer satisfaction in the service department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED
Answers technical questions about vehicle problems warranties services and repairs.
Oversees service orders.
Maintains Customer Satisfaction scores at or above company standards.
Assists in diagnosing vehicle problems.
Orders tools as necessary.
Oversees administration of warranty claims with warranty administrator.
Oversees training and supervising of service department employees.
Works with upper management to make service department hiring and discipline decisions.
Sets schedules and assigns tasks to service department employees.
Reinforces company policies and adheres to company standards.
Encourages compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Maintains good working relationship with factory(s).
Attends required manager meetings.
Maintains effective employee relations
Job Requirements
Previous dealership experience required
Automotive Service Management experience required
CDK DMS Knowledge
Proven track record
Strong record of positive Customer Satisfaction results
Team-oriented
Valid in-state drivers license with good driving record
Submit to Background check and pre-employment drug test
